The Ettin is most likely the largest creature most of you have ever seen. The two carrion crawler’s the most disgusting creatures. Their tentacles lash out, seemingly at random. Most people would have fled at this sight.

You are not most people.
Elby takes a steading breath as un-nocks one of his arrows. You hear the tell-tale whistle of arrows passing over the heads of the people on the front line – two in rapid succession - both drilling the carrion crawler - the southern most one - in the front of the pit.
There is a sickening crunch of bones snapping and the clang of metal meeting metal as southern most carrion is knocked backward through bodies. The blows are so forceful that the carrion crawler is actually knocked out of the pit( H&I, 10&11).
(Map after Elby's shots knock the crawler back)
Stones says, "Beware, he attacks twice as fast as any man! It's like fighting two enemies at once! Attacking from a distance seems prudent" and begins preparing a spell. He does stay close to Remmy, being unarmed momentarily until he finishes his spell. He is targeting the Ettin. He also has a bow slung across his back and a quiver full of arrows taken from the triplets, Stones intends to return the arrows to the temple's inhabitants.
He raises his hand, launching silver bolts of energy at the giant. The giant seems unaffected. Stones hustles into the room. If there was/is a portal he does not seem effective as he rushes to the side to provide some sort of cover for the rest of the people in the room.
The Southern most Carrion Crawler lets out a high pitched squeal as it rushes from its position at the back of the room. Showing surprising speed it goes around the side of the pit coming to a stop (c+d12, c&d 13).
You think it is out of range except it is not. Its tentacles lash out at Radegast. They are so long it is almost impossible to believe they cover the distance. They suction onto Radegast’s legs, causing a small amount of damage (7 hp). For a moment Radegast’s muscles seem as though they are going to freeze up and immobilize him.
Instead he shakes it off.
Inara yells out, "Gentlemen...I think negotiations have probably already failed judging by the heads on the wall. Someone get the giant before he gives up our location. Watch out for the green thingies."
Remsfeld turns his head - slightly - toward you and in dwarven growls, "Stay with me."
Remmy steps into the room, his mighty two-handed sword drawn, and steps to toward the Carrion Crawler engaging Radegast. With an easy swing he slices past the Carrion Crawler’s defenses, sending blood splattering onto the floor.
Inara mumbles, “Yah, no kidding.” Inara readies some throwing stars, yet remains in her place.
The giant, known as an Ettin crunches one of its face’s into a mass of fury, the other showing a mask of cunningness. Despite its giant size it moves gracefully as it rushes up to Stones (C2) while bellowing in a face like sandpaper, “Its head is just what I’ve been missing!” With a roar it swings one of its cleavers.
Stones feels the giant’s strength through his armor as even the most glancing blow hurts (10 hp).
At the same time the Ettin strikes, its second head turns to look at the party.
Radegast moves likes a lightning strike, teleporting across the battlefield to help Stones by drawing the Etitn’s attention.
It works. Mostly.
The Ettin swats Radegast non-challantly. Radegast is pushed back 15 feet, coming to a stop only when his back collides with Remmy. Remarkably enough neither one is hurt of knocked down.
(The Northern Crawler)
Qwyn, his sight line blocked except for the Northern most carrion crawler across the room yells at the only target he can see. “Hey crawler, I've seen bigger tentacles on a squid."
A bolt of dark energy crackles from Qwyn’s rod, striking the carrion crawler. The carrion crawler hisses back a reply.
The Ettin keeps its focus on Radegast.
“I need for collection!” He rushes toward Radegast, bringing its second cleaver down hard. This blow is much worse (15 hp) and the Ettin’s expression turns to one of immense glee. He is so close to Radegast that the number of teeth – only a handful – can be counted.
The Northern Carrion Crawler plows forward in the pit bodies scattering as though they were not even there. Its tentacles come out of the pit, suctioning onto Radegast. Again he feels the pain (7 hp) and once again Radegast shakes off the paralysis.
Voss, his two swords drawn, rushes forward to attack the Ettin. Voss’s two blades seem to move as one, hedging in the Ettin. The Ettin raises its cleaver to parry, which is exactly what Voss expected. His left sword slices into the Ettin’s body while the right sword- the sword known as Stormbiter glistens with its electric-blue energy as he slices neatly through some of the giant’s leather armor.
Voss screams something incomprehensible as he strikes.
The air crackles with lightning, catching the Ettin directly in one of its faces. Along with the lightning is a roar of thunder. Much to everyone’s amazement – including the creature itself – the Ettin is knocked prone.
Alion steps forward, gaining himself a slightly better angle on the prone Ettin, and also providing a path for others to enter the room. His chest brightens for a moment as he whispers a word of prayer. A searing ray of light flashes forth, striking and blinding one of the head’s on the Ettin.
The screams of the Ettin echoes off the walls of the room.
